Introducing Estimated APY on the SubQuery Network

What's Estimated APY all about?

To get you an even easier understanding of what APY is - APY, or Annual Percentage Yield, is a term you hear in web3 that measures how much rewards you can expect from locked or saved tokens over a year. An example is when you delegate SQT tokens to the network, you can receive rewards in the form of extra SQT from Node Operators.

In short, APY helps you understand the total amount of SQT rewards you'll receive from participating in the SubQuery Network on an annualised basis.

How will Estimated APY enhance your experience

For Delegators: Historical estimated APY data for node operators is readily available. This information serves as a valuable tool for delegators to decide the best nodes for delegating their tokens, thereby optimising their returns.

[Coming soon] For Node Operators: Node Operators benefit from access to historical estimated APY for potential projects. This feature will help them decide which projects to index and run, or where to allocate their staked SQT to maximise rewards

For everyone: Now, the SubQuery Network app provides users with personal APY insights across different categories. This functionality allows everyone to monitor and analyse performance across the network, offering valuable insights into progress over time.

In addition to individual APY metrics, the app facilitates an overview of the overall network APY. This feature offers users a comprehensive snapshot of the network's performance, allowing them to gauge its potential at a glance.
