SubQuery is a fast & flexible blockchain indexing toolkit that powers hundreds of teams on blockchain networks such as Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Algorand and Avalanche. We also power NEAR and Aurora, and a number of Layer 2 chains such as Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism.

This June, James Bayly (our COO) and Marta Adamczyk (our Technology Evangelist), brought SubQuery’s indexing solution to two prominent Polkadot conferences to help Polkadot developers index their data quickly and easily so they can focus on building their core product.

Polkadot Prague 2023

We attended Polkadot Prague, a two-day conference that embraces the transformative potential of the Polkadot ecosystem, unlocking endless possibilities for a brighter, interconnected future.

Organised by the KodaDot team for the second consecutive year, the event was held at the stunning Gabriel Loci in Prague, Czech Republic, as part of Prague Blockchain Week 2023.

The stellar lineup of speakers comprised of blockchain visionaries such as representatives from KodaDot, Parity, Interlay, Mangata, Polkadex, SORA, Unique Network, Zeitgeist, Ajuna Network, Astar, Kilt, HydraDX and many more!

Through engaging dialogues, debates, and shared visions, the event fostered collective action to shape a seamless and harmonious multichain ecosystem.

Polkadot Decoded 2023

We were also involved in Polkadot Decoded, the biggest Polkadot event of the year! Back for a third edition, the highly-anticipated conference came as a hybrid experience, both in-person and online.

Panel: The Data Story: Uncovering Polkadot's Hidden Secrets

James joined a panel focused on the significant contributions made by data teams within the Polkadot ecosystem. The panel featuring industry experts from Parity Data team, Dotinsights, Subsquid & Polkalytics, delved into various aspects of data analysis, including data indexing, visualisation, and reporting.

Encode Hackathon Workshop

As part of Encode Club’s 2-day hackathon held alongside the 2-day conference, James also teamed up with Eugene Way and Katie Voronina of Vara Network to host a technical workshop on indexing data for your next dApp on the Gear protocol using SubQuery.

Conclusion

We had a phenomenal experience at both events. It was a joy to share SubQuery with the passionate Polkadot community, spurring us to bring our data indexing solution to even more web3 teams and developers around the world.

About SubQuery

SubQuery is a blockchain developer toolkit facilitating the construction of Web3 applications of the future. A SubQuery project is a complete API to organise and query data from Layer-1 chains. Currently servicing Ethereum, Polygon, BNB, NEAR, Polkadot, Optimism, Avalanche, Algorand, Arbitrum, Cosmos and Flare projects, this data-as-a-service allows developers to focus on their core use case and front-end without wasting time building a custom backend for data processing activities. In the future, the SubQuery Network intends to replicate this scalable and reliable solution in a completely decentralised manner.
