SubQuery is proud to announce that it will support Energy Web, an open-source platform supporting decarbonization of the energy sector. SubQuery now supports both Energy Web’s EVM and Polkadot parachain - EWC (EVM) and EWX (Parachain).
SubQuery's indexing capabilities enable developers on Energy Web to efficiently manage and query on-chain data, expediting development processes and facilitating rapid prototyping, ultimately advancing the goal of onboarding the new users to the Energy Web stack.
Developers building on Energy Web can now harness SubQuery's versatile, high-speed, open and decentralised data indexing solution. This empowers developers with crucial tools to efficiently manage and query on-chain data for different applications.
SubQuery simplifies the intricacies of backend operations, providing developers with a tailor-made API. They can then focus on product development and improving user experiences without having to allocate resources toward indexing solutions.
“We at Energy Web are thrilled to announce our collaboration with SubQuery Network. With the Energy Web Chain (EWC), based on the EVM, and the Energy Web X Parachain (EWX), based on substrate, our ecosystem gains significant momentum with the indexing capabilities provided by SubQuery Network. This partnership ensures swift access to both chains, enhancing the seamless functionality of our ecosystem.”
Daniyal Ajdadi, Director of Marketing and Communications at Energy Web
We’re always striving to provide developers with the most comprehensive and efficient indexing experience possible, including the open-source SDK, tools, documentation, and developer support that the SubQuery ecosystem provides. Energy Web is also supported via SubQuery’s enterprise level managed service, which provides enterprise-level infrastructure hosting and handles hundreds of millions of requests each day.
> “We are excited to support Energy Web and we believe this integration will open up exciting opportunities and we can’t wait to see what dApps developers on Energy Web build with our fast, flexible, and open indexing technology."
— Sam Zou, Founder and CEO of SubQuery
> “Using SubQuery to index both EWC (EVM) and EWX (Parachain) enables builders to provide the Energy Web community with deep insights into the whole ecosystem regarding on-chain data, metrics, tokenomics, APY calculations, worker node statistics and general knowledge. Being able to query a blockchain like a relational database is a game changer for developers and opens up a ton of use cases, not only for the community, but enterprise adoption as well. And with SubQuery this can all be done in true decentralized fashion.”
- Jeroen, Energy Web Champion
Why Use SubQuery?
SubQuery makes it easy to build a custom API for your dApp or smart contracts in minutes, providing clean indexed data to any service. The excellent SubQuery developer experience is flexible, with the ability to make external API calls or import external libraries from within your mapping functions, and better controls to run your projects in your own infrastructure with automated DOS (denial of service) mitigation controls. Additionally, we have yet to make plans to sunset our managed service.
SubQuery is designed to be fast. This adds up when you’re indexing millions of ledgers, and is something to consider when choosing your indexer. SubQuery achieves this by using multi-threading and optimisation of the store to reduce costly database writes. With faster sync times, developers can iterate faster and deliver features to the market quickly.
