Since our inception in February 2021, SubQuery has experienced remarkable growth, expanding our team to over 20 members scattered across diverse locations such as New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, China, and Portugal.

Sam Zhou

CEO

Before creating SubQuery, Sam served as General Manager at Centrality, overseeing a successful ICO valued at US$100 million in 2017. During this experience, he recognised challenges in decentralised infrastructure management and automated code deployments, inspiring the establishment of SubQuery to tackle these issues.

Ian He

CTO

Back when Ian was the Technical Team Lead at Centrality, he cultivated his blockchain passion by spearheading the development of core CENNZnet components. His leadership also secured a 2nd place win in the inaugural Substrate/Polkadot Hackathon in 2019. Before this, Ian gained extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure at Alipay and Yihaodian.com.

Scott, a seasoned blockchain developer, initially self-learned about blockchain before diving into hands-on experience as a senior developer at Sylo. His expertise spans smart contracts, dApps, decentralized technologies, and wallet integration across diverse networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tezos, and CENNZnet.

This has never been done before and is a step towards a crucial requirement for blockchain technology to be adopted. I’m most proud of seeing and being a part of SubQuery’s expansion to over 125 different networks. We started out very much established in the Polkadot world and while this was a great place to start, we always wanted to push to be the most universal indexer available. We now have the widest network coverage of any indexer on the market.”

With a diverse background as a former product evangelist, frontend developer, digital marketer, educator, and sales manager, she delivers technical consultancy, developer-oriented content, and education to drive success.
