SubQuery Doubles Community Spots in SQT Public Sale
SubQuery is the Universal Web3 data indexing toolkit. SubQuery enables anyone to index, transform, and query blockchain data to power their applications. Currently a centralised service, SubQuery will soon be transitioning to the decentralised SubQuery Network assisted by a Public Sale.
We recently opened an Expression of Interest form for our community in the upcoming Public Sale of our SubQuery Token (SQT). SubQuery already plans to whitelist key network contributors to participate, but used this opportunity to give our early followers a chance to secure their place in the sale.
While we aim to provide everyone with an opportunity to take part, and we want to ensure that SQT is available for all, space is limited. To balance these needs through the Expression of Interest process we reserved 1,000 allocated spots in the Public Sale that were to be given to:
- The first 500 applicants that correctly fill in the Expression of Interest form, and
- 500 randomly selected applicants that correctly fill in the form before the deadline.
After being overwhelmed by the response, we have decided to reward our community by doubling our initial 1,000 allocated spots to 2,000!.
For applicants who were lucky enough to be part of this group, we will be sending an email with instructions for the next steps soon.
All other users are still able to participate in Round 2 of the Public Sale, which will be open to all on a "first come, first served" basis.
In order to participate in the SQT Public Sale, all interested parties, including the whitelisted users from the Expression of Interest, must register on TokenSoft's platform and complete their know-your-customer (KYC) process (tokensoft.io). We have prepared a step-by-step walkthrough for the KYC process --- please access it here.
As outlined in the Whitepaper, SQT is intended to be the token that powers the SubQuery Network, providing an incentive for participation, as well as serving as a medium of exchange for transactions within the SubQuery Network. In practice, this means that SubQuery Network is intended to function as a blockchain data marketplace where both Consumers (buyers) and Indexers (sellers) can meet to exchange data for SQT. The third participant in the model are Delegators who participate in the network by supporting their favourite Indexers by delegating their tokens to them in order to earn rewards. SQT will be the fuel for revolution in Web3 data infrastructure.
More information about the public sale, including sale dates and token pricing information will be released soon. For details about the SQT tokenomics, please refer to this article. For any additional information or questions, please contact us in Discord.
SubQuery is the Universal data indexing toolkit facilitating the construction of Web3 applications of the future. A SubQuery project is a complete API to organise and query data from Layer-1 chains. Currently servicing Polkadot, Substrate, Avalanche, Terra, and Cosmos (starting with Juno) projects, this data-as-a-service allows developers to focus on their core use case and front-end without wasting time building a custom backend for data processing activities. In the future, the SubQuery Network intends to replicate this scalable and reliable solution in a completely decentralised manner.
